Gunnar Greuel named to AP All-State Team
In Winter, Wisconsin there is a 6'3 young man that sports the mullet but also has been considerably overlooked for his performance on the basketball court these last two seasons. The mullet was responsible for 1,214 career points, 1,340 career rebounds, 292 career assists, 227 career steals, and 132 career blocks. Those numbers would make you think he led the nation in rebounds. Oh wait, he did lead the nation in rebounds as cited by MaxPreps, and WisSports.
If that weren't impressive enough, this young man also earned Lakeland East Conference Player of the Year in the 2023-2024 season, is a 2x First Team All-Conference selection, First Team All-Selectional selection, a WBCA All-State Honorable Mention selection, WBCA Division 5 All-Star, and will also participate in the Duluth Amateur Youth Basketball Association Border Battle, and now Wisconsin Associated Press All-State Honorable Mention selection. Greuel will also be participating in the Lakeland Scholar Athlete Banquet at the Unity High School for his excellence in the classroom as a student-athlete.
Congratulations goes out to Gunnar Greuel for his impressive high school career on and off the basketball court. Gunnar is a shining example of what is possible when you combine work ethic, sprinkle in a great attitude and being coachable.
