The road to college athletics is rarely a straight line, and for Northwoods standout Xzavier Stojek, the journey has taken an exciting new turn.
After initially committing to the powerhouse NCAA Division III program at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, the standout athlete has redirected his collegiate path. This upcoming fall, Stojek will officially join the roster at Morton College in Cicero, Illinois, suiting up as a freshman for the Panthers' highly competitive NJCAA Division II baseball program.
For Stojek, the move represents a strategic step forward in a baseball journey that began a lifetime ago.
A Proven Northwoods Resume
Stojek heads to the Chicago suburbs with one of the most decorated high school resumes in northern Wisconsin. A dominant dual-sport athlete who drew serious college interest on both the gridiron and the diamond, it was his performance during his breakout junior campaign that cemented his status as an elite baseball prospect.
During the 2025 season, Stojek took the region by storm, earning the prestigious Heart O' North Conference Player of the Year honors and capturing an All-State Honorable Mention nod. Xzavier played Middle Infield (Utility), batted .543 AVG, .573 OBP .617 SLG, earned himself Conference POY, 3x All-Conference, 2x All-District, and of course, All-State Shortstop honors.

While his roots trace back to year-round competitive baseball in San Diego, California, where he played from ages 5 to 11, it was his high school years in Wisconsin where his deep-seated passion truly crystallized.
"I chose baseball because it’s been a lifelong passion," Stojek says. "I got really serious about it once I got to the high school level and I realized how deep my passion for it was."
The Next Chapter: Morton College

Xavier Stojek, Morton College
Stojek spent his junior summer on a whirlwind tour of college visits and elite camps, originally finding a fit at Whitewater. However, the transition to Morton College opens up a dynamic new avenue for his athletic and professional ambitions.
The NJCAA environment is renowned for its high-exposure, fast-tracked development, providing Stojek an immediate platform to showcase his skills against elite junior college competition in the Midwest. He will enter the Fall 2026 season as a true freshman, ready to make an immediate impact on the Panthers' roster.
Big Dreams on and off the Diamond
While his uniform has changed, Stojek’s ultimate goals remain entirely intact. Off the field, he remains focused on a future in the business of sports, planning to pursue studies in Digital Marketing and Sports Management.
On the field, the objective remains the highest level of the game.
"My plans after college are to pursue the sport of baseball as long as I can and fulfill my dreams of someday signing a professional contract," Stojek says. "And if that never works out, then I plan to try to get a job for an MLB team."
No matter where his playing days eventually end, Stojek knows his future will always involve the diamond.
"I plan on coaching baseball as well at some point," he adds. "I’m not sure which level yet, but coaching has always been something I’ve wanted to do."
From the sun-drenched fields of Southern California to the gritty, award-winning seasons in the Heart O' North, Xzavier Stojek has proven he can produce wherever he steps between the lines. Now, as he takes his talents to Cicero, Illinois, the next level has officially arrived.
